Partner

Allison Alexander is a Partner at Marathon, where she is primarily responsible for developing the firm’s strategy and portfolio selection process, facilitating investment transactions, and managing the firm’s investments. For decades Allison has focused her investment and legal career on supporting entrepreneurship, especially in historically undercapitalized communities.

Previously, Allison served as a Managing Director and General Counsel of IMB Partners (IMB), where she was one of four Managing Directors in a middle market private equity firm focused on providing capital access to underrepresented founders. At IMB, she served as a key member of the investment team focused on evaluating pipeline opportunities and helped to lead the formation of the firm’s inaugural $100 million buyout fund and the closing of the first deal into the fund. Prior to IMB, Allison served for several years as Vice President and General Counsel of Clark Enterprises, a privately held investment firm/family office with nearly $2 billion of AUM. While there, she was a member of the senior leadership team responsible for developing and successfully executing the firm’s investment strategy across a diverse portfolio covering real estate, private equity, and capital markets.
